Still not the biggest fan of the Ki-46 from Airfix, but your kit looks great!

Thank you guys! Though an old kit from 1965, it was a joy to build.

I really am impressed. I built the same kit...and I was underwhelmed. This is VERY good. Thank you for sharing!

Kerber I used Humbrol 168 Hemp over a layer of Tamya XF-16 aluminium. My original plan was to scratch the Humbrol paint away so the alu would shine through making the chipping look natural. I did that before, but forgot that it doesn't work with enamels. So I taped the plane along side the panellines as I had seen on pics that that were the places with the most wear and tear. Since the Japanese did not use primers before applying the camouflage paint the paint didn't stick we l on the panels in the long run. Then I applied the aluminium paint with a toothstick and blurred it wit a small brush. After that I removed the tape and weathered the kit with washes and pastels.

Ok, thanks for explaining...some similar method I use sometimes with Japanese aircraft...first aluminium, then future/gloss...then green color, and after 2-3 minute...scotch tape, to remove green randomly on some "strategic areas"...
