The paintwork looks very nice so far. However, it is clear from picture 5 that the edges of the wing could be better and cleanly finished. This is even more noticeable on the silver. It would be a shame to overlook it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with the build and watching.

For the past few weeks I have been looking at ways to combine photo-etched engines with plastic parts.
The two parts are of different sizes and need to be mortised together.
I'll hope you show next step I a few weeks!

Interesting plane, gruesome kit. Looks like fun for the spectator.

GOOD LUCK. I finished this one and it was quite a challenge for me. In my kit the biggest issues besides general fitting, were the length of the supports between the wings and the floats and between fuselage and floats. I ended up scratch building the too short ones from fuselage to floats. Masking the windows was also not so easy. I read much better impressions about the 1/48 kit.

And I forgot: make yourself some jig or stand for mounting the engine. I took me several tries to get it straight just by holding all parts during the glue curing. Which was not a smart idea from the beginning.
