Very nice build Paco. I'm impressed also with your photography, especially the main Picture, gives the feeling of the real Aircraft. Hard to do when the subject is that small (1:72) well done8)

Hi Paco, looks excellent. :-D
Especially the camouflage pattern I really like. I have this model in my holy cabinets. I first wanted to build a machine from the eastern front but when I look at your machine so I come here to ponder.

Thank you Christian!. Glad you like this project. If you need information about it please consult.
To paint the "wellenmuster": first apply "sand", then apply toothpaste as a mask and then painted "green". To remove the mask put the model under tap water and go!

Toothpaste?! Why not!!! I´ll give it a try, next time! THX for the hint!

Toothpaste probably works much quicker and easier than rolling lots of poster buddies. Great tip!
Do you need to use a protective layer of clear paint in between?

Great trick! I see some resemblance with the marmite trick. Need to test it some time!

I'm glad we really find it useful technique. To apply the toothpaste used a syringe and needle to which I cut the bezel to make it easier to apply the mask. After applied on the pattern you want, let it dry until hard. In my case I did not use varnish between painting sessions. Some tips: apply in sections, eg wing, fuselage side and let dry.; apply on the other side; wing and well. Note that as you go applying toothpaste expands or dilates few tenths of a mm. Do not touch, while dry, since deforms and destroys the pattern.
This technique has a lot of details to be learned before applying on our "jewels", practice!.
If things are unclear or questions do not hesitate to consult.

Regards

Paco

Fascinating technique with the toothpaste! I shall have a go at with the next opportunity. What a crazy bunch of people we are, us modellers! 🙂 🙂 🙂
