I plan to detail this kit externally, but otherwise keep panels closed. There is plenty of room for detailing within the landing gear bays and the cockpit anyway.

I'll be following myself.I have the TwoBobs kit I want to start soon, and I'm curious as to how it will go together.

@Holger: You got the right photos. I have the White Ensign paints for the camo. @Stefan: The fit needs care as there are almost no locating pins. Surface detail is not so bad, although some riveting is in order - the aircraft has many raised rivets that are difficult to simulate, but I will have a go. I expect a fair amount of filler will be required. I am posting a few photos in a minute.

You can buy raised rivet, its like a decal sheet full with rivets.

stefan natus
@ michael: Hgw models and archer makes raised rivets.
Type in ebay 1/48 rivets.

Aghis Barberopoulos
That's interesting... but there are too many parameters - Height and diameter of rivet head, plus distance between rivets... ( I know I am picky) Also, would you be able to dry brush them ? This is most important.

There are some examples at hgw models site: hgw.webgarden.cz/hgw-rivets-free-lines

Well, i thought to put it for you as I exchange lots of photos, DVDs with a Greek friend of mine. He was born in Egypt and works in tourism like me. We have been friends since we were in KG2..........around 56 years ago. What a friend he is.........these school mates are life time brothers.

It is great if you keep in touch after so many years - I have a question: what is KG2 ? (not Kampf Geschwader 2 I guess 🙂 )

There was once an airshow in Aswan and he was there with me
photographing. He had a digital camera and I had a film one. 6 years ago, the film camera was by far faster and he missed lots of pass-by of Migs. My camera is a auto shoot and continuos film run so all i had to do was point and press a little. I remember i got 6 rolls of film in under 16 minutes. while he managed only 48 frames although his Nikon was top of the line then. He sure hated me that day. That day, he was my tour manager with an SAGA holidays special.......RAF veterans and all decided to forget about the tour and watch. HiHiHi

That explains your nice photos!

@Sherif: Cool! And no, i´m not working with TUI. I´m working in a touristinfo and marketing of a island in the northsea. Not a big one but the vacancies are often booked out. What kind of tour do you show the interested?

All of Egypt................by boat from luxor to Aswan and opposite. By road as well. We even go on a balloon ride in Luxor too. I will add some photos of mine, not related to modelling, and hope the admin wont mind. I will add also the Alamein museum too soon. I had an brit who wanted to go to El-alamein to see the museum and the okd railway station..........it is still there. I found out later that he wrote his name on the wall..........it was still there but faded. He was a commander of a Sherman tank that got hit by the famous 88mm. He was the only survivor..........small world. I took him by my own car and was doing 160km when he said: I survived so many battles....................I am 91 and dont intend to die today!!!!!!!!!!
