Of this small and desapointing kit
It was a kit I didn't look into before I bought it
Cured me from buying any more of the exciting cars
That airfix has recently put out
I could have got a great tamiya kit for the same money

Gary BullThanks Jv. I don't normally build cars but this was a gift and I actually enjoyed the build. It was the Aifix starter kit but I did not use the the Humbol paints included. One thing that did amaze about this kit was that a few ejector pin marks were on the the detail side of the part, so a bit of sanding and filling was required. Unusual for this edition of Airfix kits.
I have a couple of Tamiya and Italeri cars in the stash that I will build in the future. I like the detail in the Tamiya kit.

JvI think you will enjoy the tamiya kits much more
I bought 2 airfix models one day
Cos thay make models of cars I really like
I started to put one together and found the plastic to be waxy
And parts were not all in proportion and a small scale
But I do think the Aston is one of the better kits
But very disappointing the kit hasent got proper tires
I have plenty other kits I have paid less for that are much better
I use the paints in kits like that for hand painting things on models
Or to give to people starting out

Kit build record. Went together well. Only two issues - The first issue was the decals, Cartegraph, but very thin and fragile so had some tearing and folding. The second issue was that the Aston Martin molded badges did line up with decal printings. The bonnet badge I filed down and replaced with a Mr Surfacer 500 build-up in the decal position, but the boot had the decal badge too low for the molding. In hindsight I should have filed off the rear badge and just left it flat.
Note that this is only my second car build as aircraft are my main interest.
