Wow, looks great so far! 🙂 How do you glue the zimmerit? With CA?
4 May 2012, 13:17
Frank Krause
I used Patex superglue (Sekundenkleber). Worked fine!

Hi Frank, when I worked with ATAK-Zimmerit I tried to realize a tip from a Modeler. I glued it with "Ponal wasserfest". In this way I could correct the pieces a little bit easier. CA was used only at the edges after the drying of the "Ponal". Worked well... - Btw your'e a fine job...

Hi Mike, thanks for the hint with the Ponal. There are still some models to go with Atak Zimmerit (Brummbär, Panther A etc). I'll surely try it!

How did you fix the pastel on the muffler?Do it on wet paint?
4 May 2012, 17:04
Holger Kranich
No fixing with propylalcohol, i would assume!

Impressive tracks. Keep up the good work!

Hi Markus, you assumed right. I painted the muffler with Humbrol enamels, applied the pastels. Once dried I painted it again with extremely thinned enamels.

Thanks, SuperBug18. I'll try!
