Mercury and Atlas "Everything is Go"

Mercury-Atlas 6 mission and Launch Complex 14. First american orbital flight with a human crew (John Glenn). Atlantis model (Revell) 

Research has shown this to be what Mercury-Atlas 6 actually looked like. Only part of the Atlas has an aluminized surface.

New construction of the escape tower using putty, medicine tube cap, 0.7 mm hard pencil lead, epoxy and broom bristles. I intended for a more detailed and faithful look than the original turret.
