Almost finished an later-time period all-green F-104, so figured I would do an early Grey/White Wing one as well.
The kit is molded in bright red. The fuselage is in two pieces, split after the wing. I assume so they could use the forward fuselage with a different tail to make a 104A/C…
Overestimating my ability once again (and the fact the kit only cost me $12.50) I am going to try to pose the leading and training edge flaps in the down position.
I am going to replace the kit Lockheed C2 Ejection Seat with the one from my Hasegawa kit.
The Res/Kit resin wheels will be used, as the kit wheels are a little 'underwhelming'….

Cockpit complete. Had to trim the bottom of the Hasegawa seat a little to fit under the canopy.

Took a couple coats of primer to cover that glaring red. The fuselage is a light grey, while the wing upper surfaces are white, so I used Tamiya Light Grey Primer and Mr. Surfacer 1500.
Need to mask the rear fuselage/engine area and vertical stab for aluminium.
