Option C ADV 15M.V2 (these would require some work because they are too wide for the kit) I think these also look the best not overall but on this kit so i think im going with these

Vents by KA models. I would recommend filling the grooves for the fins with putty as the metal ones do not fill them all that well... Too late on this model sadly

Climate vents were easy to loose as they are so tiny. I managed to loose two. (both on the left only have one) But as this is hardly seen after finishing i was not too stressed about it.

Decal was applied over the PE part for a more realistic depth effect

Finished wheels took more work than expected as the rims are simply too wide for most cars. But after some alterations to the suspension and wheels itself they fit the car and look good whilst doing so.

Unsure about the wheels. The ADV.1 look somewhat small with the narrow tirewall but on the original the tyrewall is too big ... If anyone has opinons about which set looks better let me know.

Yes revell kits can be a bit hit and miss
It was a kit I was expecting a bit better from
It was a kit I had on my list of kit I would like to have
After what you say mabe I will give it a miss
But nice job on it
I'm sure you will get there
And sorry I'm not to sure hat tires will fit
But I think the kit tires look ok

Thank you for your input i bought 3 different sets of wheels and will decide later which ones look best. And about your hesitance to buy It is still a kit i recommend overall but you have to go into it not expecting tamiya quality... I would pick it up sooner than later as it is currently unavailable on their site and i do not know wether it will be restocked or not.

i built this SLS twicw - one oob, the second i choosed also aftermarket wheels for a better look. I would take the option A

Those photo etched parts look great on the model. I like your peintjob as well! Respective the wheels, I'm not sure. My tendence will be the original one in this darker color. But: if the after market wheels will be near to the edge of the wheel houses, it's hard to decide.

Thanks alot i added some new options that fit better size wise. Not yet decided on a colour but i agree darker looks good with this paintjob. Im leaning towards option C atm but input is always welcome 🙂

Man, that is a hard decission! I like the tyres of (c). The rear ones look so big in the wheelhouse on (a) and (b). If the tyre size is like (c), then I can't say, which rims I'd prefer. On trend, I'd take (b) or (c).
(c) is classic,
(b) slightly modern forward look - sharp and it fits somehow to the little grill and fins in the fender
(a) I think they would fit better onto an italien sportscar or on a Porsche..

Much appreciated i will take (c) considering that (b) will look good great on other cars too. I decided to paint them jet black with a gloss clear coat and will add photos as soons as i am done 🙂

Album info

Here are some pictures of my SLS AMG build. I Think all in all it went pretty well considering how poorly some parts fit together such as the side windows, mirror indicator, rear lights and roof lining. I also used the detail up PE set from KA Models which added alot of detail throughout. Polishing is something im not good at yet as this is only the second kit i tried it on. I stayed clear of the edges but that lead to the body not being sanded down everywhere and after finishing it is still visible where i didnt sand down until it was all matte. All in all im still reasonably pleased how it turned out.
