my kid LOVES buses, and we were surprised how few bus kits we could find out there... Then we got this one and were surprised how tiny it was 🙂 I'm glad we didn't screw it up too badly for him.

aw, thanks everyone! Akira, we picked this kit because we could only find 2 kits of modern-style city buses available – this one and a Tokyo one... and the Tokyo one was out of stock. 🙂 The Osaka bus came with four different sets of route decals (Osaka Station, Tempozan, Namba, and "out of service"), and we picked Osaka Station because we didn't know what the other two were, and didn't want it to be out of service.

(I mean, we looked up Tempozan and Namba and found out what they are. But we have no personal connection to them, so "Osaka Station" seemed like better signage for our bus.)

bmod - Roden is releasing GMC PD3701 Silverside Bus "Greyhound Lines" later this year. Seems pretty nice with NMF aluminum and blue. There is a link to it on the main page under hot kits.

I agree with you that you didn't want it to be out of service.
By the way, Tempozan and Namba are the area of Osaka. Tempozan market in Tempozan is a big park with a big Ferris wheel, tourist sailboats, an aquarium, and lots of other playground equipment.
If you come to Japan with your family, I am sure your kids will have a blast at Tempozan.
Namba is famous for its entertainment, shopping and unique Japanese food.
Osaka is known as 'The food capital of Japan', so your family will be satisfied.
On the way back, you can easily take the Shinkansen to Kyoto or Tokyo or other via Osaka Station. 😃
