cheers the dude
Looking great there Matt, liking where you're heading with this Lancia. Love the Repsol decals
thanks Karl, the main colours are painted on cos i had a drama with the decals
Nice! Rallye Legend on a good way 👍
Spot on matt! Decal-Drama is not visible at all imho. Good work, Keep going 😁👍🏽
Very nice, looks great. Well done Matt
Exhaust pipe and interior are just perfect! Well done!!!
thanks mates 👍🏻trying my best
Nice looking R32 there Matt, I can see you left the hood as clear.. cool touch to leave the engine visible! Lovely collection too, really like the JDMs sitting next to each other 🙂
Cheers Karl, i got a lot of cupboard to fill up still. I pondered what to do with the bonnet for ages but thought, 'well there's a few clear ones out there so why not.'
Yes exactly, still have lots of available space there! Need to build more JDMs to fill the cupboard up!
thats the plan, jdm & classic rally cars (mostly group b, with a few exceptions)
I like those clear hood. Sweet.
Pretty neat, like that clear hood
Well done! That black finish overall gives this car a very sinister look. I like that 👍🏽

cheers jonn!! i am reasonably pleased with it
Oh wow, that is an awesome looking RX there Matt. Really like the colour you chose for it. Overall a clean build, well done mate
I thought, the box art is onlyade as a comic...but that it is looking like it is funny. The proportions are.....hmmm......interesting 😄. Big wheelsreally fat fenders.
Well built Matt.
Thanks Dominik, it's a proper style in japan, sort of bosozoku slash race car, i love it to be honest, all cars should be styled this way. With straight thru pipes too
Thanks for that link Matt, interesting read
I saw a video about that scene. With very huge rear wings, long front spoilers, high Exhaust pipes and a l o t of stance. Crazy.
yeah it's slightly bonkers but thas the japs for you. no offence to any japanese, i love it.

another fine purchase for under 15£ from plazajapan
matt is NOT impressed with this item
(Older) Italeri kits should not be bought, unless:
a) No other kit maker has the topic
b) It's a truck
Just my opinion
well, I did have lots of fun with my 250GTI, and it dates from the 80's 😛 although i am sure there are better 250's in the market (the mistakes in my are fully my own making 😛 )
are the trucks better quality then? cos i did fancy one
The quality of the body is...mweh. However, can't wait to start on this Group B car 🙂
The newer truck molds are pretty decent. As usual; check the timeline!
which group b car do you have TWCRay?
I have got the Stratos. Prepped the body, will start on the paintwork next week.
ah right, i thought u meant an s4 or something, the stratos was a group 4 car, pre group b, looking forward to seeing it finished though, i take it your goin alitalia? or maybe something different?
I received some aftermarket Alitalia decals for my Tamiya kit 😄
Ah, apologies, in my mind this Stratos was also Group B - learned something today 🙂 Got the Italeri one.
i'm gonna buy a hasegawa from plazajapan, it'll be a much better kit and 10£ cheaper too, i buy all my kits from plaza now, as even with postage to blighty, nowhere else can compete with the prices of their kits

very nice KTM!
Very nice. Is there anyone out there with the patience to spoke the wheels with real wire? That would look amazing.
cheers rod, i think you can get them aftermarket off the bay
Rod, there id plenty of people who did it. Even without aftermarket sets. I did it with my NXR750. But there are easier ways to do it, than the one I used

looks nice. what happened with those cracks?
Very successful Superbike back in the day. I echo Spanjaard's inquiry, wtf with the crack?
i know, anotherone of my laquer issues i think, itwas mint when i put it in the display cabinet and they appeared about a month later 🙁 i have no idea but the gold in the crack is the paint that's under the purple, i think it was the laquer, that's a zero clearcoat, but ihave no idea wtf is going on to be honest
Zero is an automotive lacquer. Has to be put on in very fine sprays and each coat needs to dry. I suppose the end is a light sanding to even it out before a clear coat. My opinion only. I had issues with Zero melting plastic and reached out to them for advice. Didn't get an answer so no more Zero for me. The paint will work no doubt, many do use it successfully and it does an outstanding job looking at some of the models but the fact they don't answer a call for help did me in.
i see, i didn't know that Peter, thats how i feel about the alclad products, i bought about £50 of paint from them and they can't bebothered to respond to a few questions i had about the rubbish not hardening
yeah i'm not impressed with them either to be honest Peter, always rough and uneven finish, what drew me to them in the first place was that they do all the colour matching to the real colours which i thought was a nice touch, i'll be sticking to tamiya and mr.hobby from now on, they're the only paints i've had no real woes with, except that the mr metals always seem to rub off and need some sort of clear coat to keep them in place
I use mostly SMS Lacquers and Alclad. Details I will use Tamiya acrylics. The Tamiya Lacquers I have heard are excellent and Gravity Spain are too. Don't think SMS are available there.
maybe they have changed the product formula. the clear cotes that i have from alclad, when left alone for a long time, look like yours, but with kind of milky color at the bottom. the more flat, more amount of "milk" i will update some pictures
correction, my aqua gloss is completely "milky" and the others (matte, semimatte and flat) are transparent with the milky part at the bottom. the aqua gloss says do not shake, while the others it does say to shake them. sorry, i have not used them for a long time, so i mixed them up a bit in my mind.
You can get Aqua gloss off with an ammonia based product
How did you do the bubbles in the line? That's very interesting.
i'm just gonna leave them as is, i have limited space in my displays anyway so as and when i build better ones and improve my game, the worst ones will get replaced and binned, the bubbles in the brake line were an unhappy accident, i now have air in my brakes, thas not good lol anyway it was just a mix of water and a little clear yellow that i dripped through the line and as is always the way with my models, looked tidy, then a few days later i've got bubbles? guess it was just evaporation.

thank u! not the best but getting better
nah 🙁 i laquered it with solvent based laquer, cos i'm stupid and it ate the surface, i'd imagine you could polish it out with a dremel and a lot of patience but i'm not that good, or inclined to try tbh, i think i'm improving with each build though... so that's a plus 🙂
This engine with the frame (pic #2) looks fantastic
thanks Christian, shame about the split decals and the screen really 🙁 onwards and upwards

Looking good and neat work too, well done ?
I'm looking at this on a 65" monitor and it looks very good. I can only imagine how nice it looks in your hand 🙂
aww cheers mate, truth be known i laquered that front cowl then immediately proceeded to drop it face down in the dust... d'oh!!! so it's not as good as it looks in the pics, but it's not bad considering that
? It happens!
Can't see the dust, nice work!

did u check out the new album with the real cars i uploaded
Yeah just checked it out right now matt. There are some cool cars over there, especially the little Daihatsu ones. I love kei cars and your sporty Daihatsu's are amazing, especially that Detomaso. Had never seen one before. Your current driver, the 147 is also sweet. Must be amazing having such power on a 4-door with all the comfort this brings with it! Well done, others cars are also sweet, like the S2000 and bikes too.
Cheers Karl, thought u'd like them as a jdm fan
Through all my builds I'll say, there is maybe a handful of model kits, which I'd lable as perfect.
cool i'm not the only one then

Looks great Matt!
Love the wheels
Nice Civic, looking good with your rims choice too
from a distance... don't look too bad
Don't be so hard on yourself. This little civic turned out nicely 👍 keep going mate!
cheers dennis i'm trying to be a bit more patient with the next build, see if i can get better results
