Foot base with some sprue and kinder egg toys formed a "service station", where the soldier refuels the suit. Idea for diorama, bring more ideas!

Album image #6
Foot base received some Mr.Surfacer, for steel texture.

In the open position I didn't like the flat seat (actually no seat) and blind "hand inserts". Scrath built a jacket/uniform that will remain "left" in the suit, and two "hand inserts" in the internal front part, all by multilayers of wet napkin, then thinned putty, then MrSurfacer500.

Album image #8
Jacket begins, patronised by figure, skeleton by carton, straws and syringe. Lots of tests for desired result.

Album image #9
Napking layers are wet, to form the proper figure. First draft is dried at mid-left (forgot to make chest opening).

Album image #10
Second draft is placed in uniform, bent to receive final pose, opened at chest.

Album image #11
While semi-wet, jacket received multiple touches of thinned putty with brush. After this, it wasn't anymore flexible.

Album image #12
Dried out jacket, then drilled holes for hands.

Album image #14
Mr.Surfacer500 placed in thinned, then normal layers.

Album image #15
Feet without the flat base, there is quite some kit detail that gets lost with those bases - decided to leave them out.

Oh this a real treat indeed! Love all the added scratch building, welding at the joints, the putty texture, etc. I have a few Ma.k. kits to build someday, but I have a lot to learn. glad to see lots of progress shots and captions. You have a new fan here. 👍
