Building Progress

Start with the pilot body.  

First general painting finished. Look at the size!  

Very impressive. But not finished. 

Patches on the shoulder. Pads on the upper legs are missing. Also the helmet is not finished right now. The helmet of the real display pilot is painted with the galactic force roundel. I will add this details with decals. 

The Aires engine set will be painted with this amazing set. Hopefully it is easy to use and give a nice result. 

Air intake duct parts are glued together. Air intake duct was glued together. Unfortunately large gaps are visible. I will add putty to smooth these regions. 

The same problem also occurs with the front segment. 

Furthermore the upper fuselage shell is glued together. Next step is to add the SMD LED's and test them. 

First etched parts were added and basic paint is added. 

Photoetched parts are used in the cockpit. Washing and adding some wear are further steps. 

The instrument panel is hollowed out so that an SMD LED can be placed inside. This will simulate the green shimmer of the HUD. 

Intake fan and flame holder are painted. Need to add some putty to the intake fan.
