Not sure but looking at it
I would say its not thinned enough
And looks like water based
I also think its just a matter of giving it more coats
Also 95 % of painting is in the preparation
Sanding filling more Sanding
Cleaning before you paint
And undercoat is also important
We're there is no undercoat it will run easier
Over painting times is also important
In general water based paints look more dry and dull
But all paint are different
In general
Start whed a thin coat
Spray or brush parts like edges
If the paint is think you will have to wait till it drys
And sand the edge of were the paint stoped
First and the coat the hole part
Basically spray areas like edges 2 times
For each coat
Paint has a tendency to run away from hard lines
Its also important to keep a wet edge
It menes you partly overlap your last run
If you don't keep a wet edge it becomes dull were you miss a bit
That also gives you a even coat
And uesing a brush you only brush 1 way
And same applies keep it wet
And you can't go backwards
Example
You paint a ving
Start from the body of the plane or the wing tip
Run brush from front to back of the wing
Next stroke overlap a 1/3 of your last stroke
Try the keep the brush loaded up whed the same amount of paint
The easy way is to dip brush and vipe of for each brush stroke
If you have to change the direction of the stroke
You have to go back and paint same direction agen but it has to still be wet different paints has to be mixed differently
But the thicker your paint is the more detail you lose
I hope this can help you a bit
You were not specific about what you
Think was a problem

you need to provide more details Megan, like what paint are you using, how are you applying, thinner.... other of your albums seem to be ok, so check what differences are, different paint brand? different application? different weather (humidity can have big influence)....
with Tamiya for example, if you use pure alcohol as thinner, and you use too much, it gets a far more mat finish than using Tamiya thinner

i prefer to do several very thin layers, and a much thicker one. with some colors, first layer may seem as if not nothing has been done, for example
really interested in this one since i have the same kit in my stash.
