Two old ESCI scale cockpits F-104 and F-16.
The sticker supplied with the kit for display purposes.
Italeri took over the ESCI company and did one 'run' of the cockpits, but never did catch on as a kit to build.
Like I said, over 25 years ago these were built, so, please forgive the odd bit of dust you may see.
Riddled with the old analogue gauges and switches, but a most 'colourful' interior these old Starfighter units were.
Unfortunately. Dust has no respect. But I keep my builds stored as well as I can, and that is why they dont 'look' old.
These 'bang handles' were created by twisting some black and yellow cotton thread together and covering them with PVA glue to prevent them from untwisting. This method can be used on all scales.
The F-16 had not long gone into service and the kit was a big hit but sold out very quickly, never to be re released until Italeri bought the ECHI company, but all the hype was over.
Each and every switch, dial and fitting has to be hand painted.
The 'drogue' shute bag.

Album info
I built these some 25 years ago, but posted them now just to show Vegard what these old kits can look like.
