thx, I hope I will do this justice. First MG almost assembled, thickened the PE with solder to get some body, now on to the next one and place them on their footpiece...

37mm assembled, but still looking for a reference picture of this mounting...

I thickened the PE with paper and CA, first one side, drilled the mounting hole though, then the other side...

I always end up in an unbelievable mess when I solder, so I'm full of admiration for anyone who can solder on this scale. Excellent work Bart, will be following with interest.

After a long time some progress... It's very difficult actually to find info on the barge, and the weapons mounted in the kit. The only easy things are the flakvierlings and the 20mm guns,as these were standard, but the 37mm gun, I can't find any references, and either from the two 88mm or 105mm main guns. I've finally decided on what to do with them and ordered some Resin Italian 105mm guns, made a new casemate in paper (glued and strengthened with CA) so, to me it looks a lot better, not correct but... hope it will still be ok when painted
