started this kit nearly 3 years ago, not having the skills to solve the strutproblems. Let's have a new try

won't be too easy, I'll have to apply paint after complete assembly as per the amount of putty I'm gonna need on the strut/wing joints - shiver and shake 🙂

after 3 years, it finally got it's top wing, as ya can see there's some puttywork to do, but I think it'll turn out fine. Tomorrows work

Lemmy, overall fit is quite nice, just some filler needed on the wing/fuselage joint underside, but those topwings, that's another story 🙂

Christian Mundt
Looks good, how did you solve the problems with the upper wing / struts?

Wilfried Bogaerts
I saw and heard him swearing and cursing for 3 successive club nights and in the end it came out allright 😉

Haha, Willy, that sounds like me when i´m building. I cry and curse, i yell and roll myself on the floor, in a lake of tears...😢

Hey Zimmy, contact PETER IBIS at

ipms.nl/component/co..se_burgeroorlog.html

It's a very nice guy and a walking encyclopedia about the Spanish Civil War. If there's one person who can advice you about the decals, it's him !

Good luck !

Lemmy, I first glued the outer struts onto the topwing( slotangle was just perfect ), then tied them up with Tamiya tape so they weren't in the way, then glued the topwing onto the inner struts, when glue had dried I released the outer struts and forced them into their slots

did everything I could on those horrible strutmounts...I can't do better than what it is now. Meanwhile underside got it's RLM 65

Are the struts too long? Looks like they are bent by stress and the dihedral of the upper wing looks too steep, maybe its just the way the lens bends the picture?

Almost done, some touch ups left to do, some thingies to add...I'm quite happy with it, being a kit that almost made it to the garbage can. Doubting if I should apply a winter camo on it...

fisnished business for my sake, kept it fabric clean in the end, not even panellines wash cause those are pronounced enough for themselves
