Allow me to repeat my comment from another D9 build: the D9s have been aquired coated in Caterpillar yellow (which I think is quite a bit more orange, although this is always difficult to judge from pictures). Then the armor parts like cabin and shrouds for the actuators are added and everything painted with the final camouflage color. Original Caterpillar spare parts can be yellow when replaced, armoured pieces have the camouflage color only. I stand to be corrected but I do not know of any original picture where armoured parts show traces of yellow. So the prominent yellow parts of your build - which are nice eye catchers - would be israeli grey only at the real stuff.
That doesn't lessen your build, which is a really well done Doobi. I particularly like the mud caked bozer blade.

Thank you for the detailed info and insight Michael. You are correct the IDF version should be all in khaki colour. The yellow base colour may be applicable to the USMC version only.

I am not a serious model builder. Even though I may not paint a tank in pink (I really want to though), I always try to build my models in more interesting contrast. In this case I found the yellow/khaki colour combination quite nice to the eyes.
