Excellent choice, those big Tamiya F1 cars are great kits 👍
I have the earlier JPS Lotus & Ferrari 312 in my stash, Tyrell Project 34 6 wheeler is next on my list.

I don't know if Tamiya ever corrected their markings but they ARE NOT yellow. Couple of different companies make the propper "biscuit" color.

And looking at the box art, there are no Goodyear markings to go along with no cigarette markings.......I'd be looking for an after market set at this point.

Just opened the box bossy the decals are yellow almost a cat yellow colour

I think it's more about licensing fees but it's still a pain.

Not sure but I do agree whed you after market decals is the way to go
Apart from that now this is hands down my favourite 1/12 f1 kit in my collection
The pe parts sheet is massive and the lotus cars are always butiful
