Bill Newcomer Did the kit come with all those radios?
28. July at 22:25:55
Nigel Chapman Yes no idea why - so there was one amp, graphic equaliser, what looks like a CD and 2 head units. All had positions on the instructions
29. July at 06:08:50
Munkyslut Nice work Nigel! I love the mag wheels, they look like Radir Rockets, floorpan detailing up to your usual top draw standards too. A pleasure to look at ;)

Munkyslut That's a great link Dominik, thanks for posting. Did the hinges you have break easily?
24. July at 20:51:02
Tim Heimer Dominik, nice work on those doors! Thanks for showing.
24. July at 21:31:59
Nigel Chapman Just had a quick look, some great ideas and inspiration
24. July at 22:06:16
Dominik Weitzer Thank you Mates! much appreciated.

no hinge is broken till yet. On every Event a take it with me, i open and Close the doors for Transport.
25. July at 13:09:13
Bill Newcomer I just viewed the process for what it takes to make working doors on the van. OMG!
28. July at 22:39:58
Nigel Chapman I know that's why I haven't up the courage to try
29. July at 06:07:49
Dominik Weitzer Try it Nigel. I had to figure that out also. It is completely different on the van to make those rear or sliding doors working as on a cars doors. It was a challenge for me also ;)

Any one got ideas on how to make vehicle antennas & aerial's in 1/24-1/25 scale ?
Someone suggested stripped down guitar strings.
Thanks Nigel
15. June at 15:53:28 Share
Ian Oostelbos Auslow in Australia have CB aerials with or without spring mounts for trucks. Only a few dollars Great site actually
https://auslowe.com.au/
16. June at 07:49:43
Nigel Chapman Thanks Ian never thought of that. I think KFS import Auslowe products
16. June at 10:35:09
Spanjaard Stretched spruce?
17. June at 20:26:46
Nigel Chapman Thanks something to consider though never tried it
18. June at 08:16:49
Spanjaard Very easy, and impossible to make it cheaper :P of course, a metallic one is better, specially since it should no break. You can also buy steel wire in different thicknesses, and try which one looks better.
18. June at 20:28:00
Nigel Chapman Thanks, some things to try
18. June at 20:46:56
Ian Oostelbos Spotmodel I just noticed has car aerials for rally etc.
9. July at 12:03:43
Munkyslut Stretched sprue for me too, you can make it whatever shape or thickness you want, cut it to size easily, even in situ
9. July at 12:17:07
Nigel Chapman Thanks for the replies, I wimped out and bought some CB antennas from Auslowe.

However I will try the stretched sprue method as I want to recreate the long whipcord Ariel's that were around the UK in the seventies
9. July at 16:26:33
Munkyslut Just what I intended on the Transit! CB whippers were alll over the U.K. late 70's
9. July at 16:38:05
Nigel Chapman You can still see them sometimes if you look carefully.
9. July at 16:40:00
Ian Oostelbos Still have mine for when I go bush....man I'm old lol

Munkyslut Different! Some very cool looking Appliance 5 spokes there, flame decals are actually a very good style, most decal flames are absolute shite
2. July at 22:08:14
Nigel Chapman Too right, the Japanese do make high quality kits. It was the 70's vibe that made me get it off e-bay.
This is my first rat-look model which I have thoroughly enjoyed building. Just waiting for some bits 'n' pieces from Australia to finish. Photo album will set up shortly
