Just watched the unboxing preview on "Utoobe" it's a shame the kit detail looks very basic and no tile detail at all which is a real shame as the real thing looked like it was made from a few billion lego bricks! 🙁

I did see, and whilst it is slightly a shame, i'm just happy to be getting a kit of Buran at all. (Beyond the horrendously expensive A-Model 1/72 kits).

And it will probably look ok with some black and white paint stuck on! 🙂

I just hope someone does some tile decals like the ones Warbirds do for the NASA Shuttles!

Considering the price, I'm not surprised that there's no engraving of the thermal bricks.

Although the Revell shuttle is much older, it doesn't have engravings either and is sold for 20€ or twice the (russian) price of the Buran shuttle from Ark Model... (Mine cost me 23€ including shipping from Russia)

And if we consider the 60€ of Anigrand, the quality/price ratio is good.

On the other hand, for those who pre-ordered the Ark Model one on sites such as Hobby Link Japan or Hobby Search, it's sure that $70 is theft...

Like Glenn, I hope Warbird will make us a board for the shuttle and even at 30€ including shipping + the Ark Model shuttle. It will always be cheaper than Anigrand.

And I'm also hoping for a board for the AN-225 Revell, the duo would be perfect.

I have a friend in Moscow who's off to buy me one direct from the model shop, so very cheap for me! 🙂

Ask him to bring you a whole box, I'm sure you'll find a buyer in Europe. :-P

Oh, he's already sticking in Mars Models 1/48 La-15, and a Zvezda T-26... cheaper to buy there plus I don't have to pay customs fees if they are a gift!😉

@Katya - Reifra still sells the Plasticart sprues in 1/100 for 21€ (including rocket) 🙂

Isn't the Reifra one 1/288 scale?

Looks like you're absolutely right, I just used to think all Plasticart stuff is around 1/100 🙂
