Note the boxart is the P-boat rather than the amphib. Only four (4) wartime XPBM-5A and 36 post-war amphibians built. Reviews indicate blanking plates for the seaplane are present. The saddle mounted wing and lack of any mainspar, particularly outboard bodes caution and indeed both buildups I ve seen exhibit anhedreal outboard. Something around the cockpit appears amiss in the models too. Weird "sub-variant" choice. The PBM is big in 1:72 . But its a Mariner, so with care, its welcome. Size and price don't lend this plane to multiple builds so it will be interesting to watch how Minicraft proceeds here with value and variations.
