Vic Ree Hi Roy
I see you have completed one of these Heller offerings. I was wondering what the kit quality like and how did the build go? Do you have any construction tips? How does it compare to the more detailed Hasegawa kits? Many thanks Mark

Roy McKay Hi Vic, it's actually the old Airfix kit reboxed, and with a few tooling changes to make it more up-to-date. The gun fairing and the boat-tail (between the engine nozzles) are more like a late F-14 and less like the prototypes. However, it's still the Airfix kit, with the too-fat tailfins, the too-small mainwheels, and the poor nozzles. I've done a couple where I used spare Hasegawa fins and spare Italeri (in some cases cannibalised Zhengdefu/Kitech copies) nozzles and undercarraige.
