this kit was supposed to have 2 different types of Michelin tires with wide wheels, but instead, I got 4 Goodyear tires that seem to have the rims in rubber on them. No wheels, only inner rims. Can I use Bare Metal Foil on rubber????

Jake you might have to cut out the inner rubber section on the AMT tires? Then add the 2 halves of the rim front and rear? Quite a common thing with the later type of tires in these kits. Do you have the inner part and the chrome outer rims or is the chrome parts missing maybe? Most AMT kits only ship with Goodyear tires something to do with licensing i guess. Bare metal foil would most likely stick to the rubber but might come off pretty easy if touched too much. it sticks pretty well to most smooth surfaces when pressed down well.

Glenn - thanks for the reply. Turns out that I got this kit from an auction and the previous owner "stole" the wheels and rubber and substituted what I have. I had some wheels from a Camaro that I am trying to adapt but i may need to lose the disc brakes to make it fit.

Thanks Jake! Not sure but you could try asking if anyone has some spare tires on Scalemates you might be lucky and find some. I'm not sure what i have but doubt i'd have the correct ones. Or try contacting AMT maybe and see if you could get some replacements? Otherwise Fujimi does a range of aftermarket 1/25 wheels and tires. Might be able to get a set of them. Cheers Glenn.

looks like I can make what I have fit, but may have to add some inner disc shims on the front
