The paint scheme is real. The problem is that Airfix made a typo back then and it should read "USAF", because that was what that scheme fit. It wasn't an attempt to do the Green Scheme that VA-115 used on the Kittyhawk, because that didn't have the 36622 bottom color that they call for.

The big problem with that Scalemates entry is that it shows 4 schemes,,,,,,,,and there were only two in the instructions and decals.

Also,,,,,,we need Tim to weigh in here,,,,,,,but, aren't we supposed to enter in what the decal sheet and/or instructions say,,,,,,not change it to what we know is real? That way if we entered in the decals for the new Revell Stearman, which are all options for restored warbirds, it would tell people what they actually will get if they bought the kit,,,,,not "what Rex says it should have been if it was right", etc

If we run across a model with "Godzilla squadron Corsair" markings, we could make a note on the page somewhere that they are fictitious markings, just as more info for anyone looking to get a kit.

Things happen when this screen freezes. When you get back is seems that your stuff has been wiped. 3&4 should be duplicates (or near) to 1&2 please delete as appropriate

I was typing that I would edit it for you, and later, upload a photo,,,,,,,but, it is a duplicate entry to this one scalemates.com/kits/130420-airfix-260-douglas-skyraider , so the thing to do really is to add the decal info to the existing entry with the photo (three different releases with slightly different box tops, but, the same two decal schemes in all three)
