Lovely little pit - looks decicedly better than most PE. The super-fine gunsight is an especially cool feature 👍

Thanks for the nice comment, Jos.

I have uploaded a couple of pictures. The fuselage seams finally sorted out with the most difficult part being in front of the cockpit. I'm happy with the result as well as with primed engine, which is probably going to be a pain in the ass to paint, haha.

So far as I know there is no other Skyraider available in scale 144 than the F-Toys kit. The kit is pre painted and comes as a snap together kit. Details are quite nice with fine engraved panel lines. A few are missing, but that doesn't matter in that tiny scale. If you just want to have a model for display on your office desk it seems to be ok to assmble the kit out of box, but if you want to have it accurate and more detailed this is a good basis to do so.
I start repainting the cokcpit and assembled the fuselage halves. All seam lines were filled and sanded. Filling and sanding was required also along the wing and fuselage joints.
To present the Skyraider in a dynamic carrier landing szene I cut out the flaps and rudder and assembled both in angled position.
This all went on quite fast and so I was able to paint the model during the weekend.

Happy Modelling, Christian

Wow! How were you able to keep the shadow colors in the panel lines so crisp? Oils and then a wipe of the surface before they were dry? Really fine stuff.

Glock Gustave
Thank you Michael.
For lines of panels I started with a pre-shading. After the basic colors I lightened the panels. Directly on this matt paint I applied raw umber oil which I melted with white spirit. After the decals and the clear varnishes I breaded a dark brown wash which was removed with cotton swabs.
