coporado Base colorized and spray added using cotton. Quite happy with the colors, not happy with the overall moulding of the water surface. Bow waves are too steep and the waves generated by the wind are not fitting smoothly into the overall surface. Next is building an appropriate frame to mimic the view from a uboat persiscope.
coporado Build completed so far. Still waiting for the metal barrel. Quite challenging to attach the Zimmerit- PE parts. Was annoying when it comes to round shapes on the turret front armor. Treating those metal parts with some heat, made them much more handy to shape. First time using Friul tracks, very time consuming, but the best track result I´ve seen so far 🙂
coporado Thanks for your kind words! Improvement, learning from mistakes and exploring new horizons is one of the modelling spirits to me - besides the meditative mood 🙂
Michael Kohl May I ask why you don't use copper wire? You might even have it at hand from cable leftovers and the like and it is very malleable.
Apart from that, this tree has the potential to make an excellent diorama even better. I cross my fingers.

coporado Next stage, tree received 3 runs of structuring material. 1st - Some putty, had nothing else as AK Terrain Effects, worked well to get rid of the wire structure. 2nd - sawdust, more or less in fine graining to achieve more structure. 3rd - very fine soil for the smallest branches at the top. Next is to add the very fine branches.
@Michael: Just didn't came to mind, to use copper wire.
Definetly a hand gently and money saving approach 🙂
