Christian WThank you for pointing out that "Pace Car Replica" meaning. I forgot. May I ask you, why there sometimes is the speaking of "parade cars"? Sometimes I read this connected to Pace Cars.

Curtis Caden AutorChristian W I do like the retro look over the modernized updates. Just one coat of Testors S1261 Glosscote. The Polar Lights kits are a bit pricy compared to other companies. I paid the price because we have a Villains and Vehicles contest - Any villain or villain's vehicle, either real life (e.g. Bonnie & Clyde, 1934 Ford Fordor sedan) or fictional (e.g. Batman, Batmobile).

Curtis Caden AutorChristian W you are correct about the bumper and headlight. I did try to paint the bumper attached and then tried to make the headlights work installing them from the front. I definitely realized my error when photographing the model. From my limited research blue was an option to the red for the anniversary edition. My theory is that if you want a model to turn out right you probably have to build two of them. The first one to figure it out and understand the meaning of the directions and the second one to do it right!

Christian WVery well described. I got this experience somehow with my built too (2002 Camaro SS | Project by christian-w (1:25)). On this I learned to read the instructions more careful than usual. Lesson learned.
Yours looks great in that nice bluemetallic. They decals fitting very good even better than of the red known example.

Curtis Caden AutorHo Ko working with metal kits always brings their own issues. Hubley and JLE Scale Models have a lot of flash and I found a small 3" metal nail file worked really well cleaning the parts up and then I soaked them in vinegar which helps the primer bond to the metal. I was encouraged by a model railroad friend to build these cars and I had a lot of fun doing them.

Curtis Caden AutorBen M thank you. The Atlantis models have been fun to build, simple and inexpensive. My only complaint is the scale sizes. I built according to directions which advised to not paint the outer skin of the aircraft and I do find it has a pleasing appearance.
