I like your Pacecars. Nicely built. I wish, I'd hade those too. I'm wondering, why you didn't paint the rear lights.

Very nice work. Shining like a mirror.

Thank you Villiers de Vos and Christian W. My issue with this model is that it is not the pace car but one of the 500 replica cars signed by Fittipaldi which was available as either a coupe or a convertible. Official on-track pace cars, also known as safety cars, are commonly modified from their street-legal counterparts to enhance performance and safety. These modifications include adding features like strobe lights, roll bars, multi-point harnesses, television camera mounts, and removing unnecessary components like air conditioning. Some pace cars also undergo more extensive modifications, such as engine, transmission, and suspension upgrades. As to the white taillights there was no direction given in the AMT kit and I didn't realize that colored lenses were not provided until after I installed the ones provided. It is an error of omission not an error of commission. Christian W I appreciate you noticing the details in the photos and commenting.

Thank you for pointing out that "Pace Car Replica" meaning. I forgot. May I ask you, why there sometimes is the speaking of "parade cars"? Sometimes I read this connected to Pace Cars.

Good job.
And one tip: the edges of the headlight glasses should be painted over with a black marker, then they will not be visible.

The parade cars or festival cars are part of the pre-race festivities, often featuring celebrities or special guests. They may be replicas of the official pace car or other models chosen for the parade. They may also be used to transport drivers and other VIPs in the parade. The pace car is the sole car leading the field on the final pace lap before the green flag.

Thanks for the clarification. I'd completely forgotten about the "driver parades." Makes sense.
