Thanks for posting the review. Here it is again stated that the main gear legs of the Airfix kit are too long by 2mm, which is not really true. This conclusion is always based on a comparison with the Revell model. This thread:

...includes some great shots of the available kits and how they compare, particularly on the gear length. As can be seen, the "sit" of the finished Airfix model compares very well with Hasegawa and Tamiya, but looks high when compared to Revell. The reason is not that the Airfix legs are too long, but because the Revell legs are too short! Also notice the difference in the gear doors between the kits - Airfix, Hasegawa, and Tamiya match photos well, but Revell gear doors do not.
The Airfix kit is not perfect, but I wish people would stop comparing it to the Revell kit, which is the one that is not right.
If you want long legs, take a look at the Hobby Boss kit! 🙂
