I have this one (in Revell box) in my stash. I've read that the fuselage does not have the extra length that is required for the dash 5 birds - did you fix this or leave it as it is? I'm tempted to leave it as it is when I build mine. I don't think a couple of mm would be all that noticeable.

Inexplicably, Italeri got the fuselage wrong on the F4U-5/5N kit; it is approx 4mm too short. However, they got the length correct on the F4U-7 kit. The easiest way to make an accurate F4U-5 is to cross kit the F4U-7 fuselage to the -5 parts.
