Patrick, I don't see how you would shave off the incorrect letters without making a mess of it, let alone replace them with correct lettering ! It's just something we'll have to live with !!!!
I wish they had left one side smooth. Personally as much as I dislike them I would have rather seen smooth sidewalls. At least then maybe some decals could have been applied.
What I just don't understand is why they did it in the first place. I don't suppose anyone else will really notice it anyway unless they look real close, but I sure notice them ! But that's how it usually goes, the builder sees all the tiny defects, but no one else does !
I'm just wondering what the judges at the model contests are going to think ???!!
Maybe there are some substitutes available, I haven't looked. I just think it was pretty dumb on Meng's part to market the kit like that !!
To me it's just deplorable. If you don't look real close at the boxart, you think you're getting these nice BFG tires. NOT !!!
Otherwise it is a very nice kit, but at a premium price!

Well, I do see some RESIN BFG Mud Terrain tires for about $20 !! Don't think I'd want resin tires !!And who knows if they would even fit until after you buy them ! I don't see any Baja T/As!
There are a few others that might work, but the price goes up from there, as much as $40 !!!.
Just gonna have to live with them I guess!!
