I started this awhile back. But stopped to build other stuff. Started to assemble some parts of the hull. Also started to paint parts of the wheels.

Update: I have it mostly built up. A base coat of Dark Yellow has been applied. Tracks are just on loose at the moment. I will be fitting them on last once all the paint is on.

Update: I have put this kit on hold. I made a right mess of doing the camo. I now have far too much paint on the model. I am waiting for some paint stripper to come. I may end up binning it.

It can't be that bad, can it? I use Mr.Hobby paint remover or IPA. Stick with it mate ?

Andrew, what kind of paint did you use?
If it is any of the acrylic lines, you should be
able to remove it with an ammonia based
window cleaner.
Works right quick and in a hurry.

I only use lacquers, mainly MRP 🙂

I used Tamiya Acrylics. I have got a bottle of Model Paint Stripper coming today. This stuff amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008VGUBWC.

Put up 4 pics of what it looks like now. I could just respray with the base colour dark yellow and start again. But I think I will be better off trying to strip as much of the paint off as I can. I was trying to get the effect of small dots on top of the camo pattern. But this did not work out well. I may just do a 2 or 3 colour camo pattern and leave it at that.

I like that ambush scheme you have going on Andrew.
A ammonia based cleaner should work with Tamiya as long as you didn't use something like Mr. Leveling thinner.
Then you are changing the 'bite' it has and make it difficult to remove altogether.

The paint work doesn't look that bad from the pictures, but you could always dress it up with some foliage/ tree branches etc for additional camouflage.

Thanks for the input guys. I used Valejo airbrush thinners with Tamiya paints. I am not happy with the splotches. I will be trying this paint stripper I got, when I get the chance. Or I may just respray it and start again.
