Does anybody know how I can get "scratch Built" off from my posts/Albums? These aren't scratch built and I cant figure out how to remove the header under post. Thanks

Hallo Jerry!
You have to add the kit to the project.

Go to your stash and the kit you used. Then „+". Klick „projects", and select the project you want and „Add".

I'm thinking about using Motolow liquid chrome for my base coat and try another candy color. That Motolow liquid chrome airbrushed quite well. You just can't touch it for atleast 7 days. As much as 30. It seems to get more shine the longer it sets. Almost like it makes it's own high gloss clear coat.

Yeah I spent atleast an hour on their website. They sure have alot of cool stuff. I have used some of their paints on some, ah, um, ah, graffiti stuff. Lol

I am about finished with this Camaro. Did a little kit bashing. I stuffed a big block 396 in it and added a blower and 2 carbs I had kicking around. I went with Createx Auto Borne silver sealer base and Createx Candy2O Caribe Blue. It comes pretty close to an original blue of that year. I'll post some pictures in a new album.

I have tried a couple different paint manufacturers, Gravity-Colors, testors, vallejo, molotow and Createx.
Any suggestions on others? Any preferences? I've heard Alclad makes a good paint. I see it's lacquer based.
What yall like?
17. December 2020, 18:46

For Primer you can't go wrong with Stynylrez which comes in a variety of colours, but I've only used their black and white, with excellent results. You can spray it straight from the bottle without needing to thin it etc. For general colours I have found Mission Models Acrylic to be fantastic, self levelling, and very easy to spray. While a bottle is twice as much as a jar of Tamiya, you get 3x as much paint making also fantastic value for your $$$.

Thank you very much James. I'll have to check it out. I've been pretty much "old school" and used to lacquer based paint and clears but I have been having good results lately with acrylics. I'm liking the water based stuff. Clean up and environmentally friendly. I try to use a mask but you know how it is.

Finished up this Tamiya 1:24 NSX. I used Createx kandy 2o paints. Tried a fade paint job for the first time. The kit was very good. Tamiya does a great job. It was a fun build. Not to much cussing lol.

Just opened it up. Everything looks good so far. I am having a hard time deciding on paint. Should I go with the stock colors or try a custom look? Maybe a candy emerald green affect?
28. November 2020, 05:04

Got started on this one. It's coming along well. Being a Tamiya kit everything fits real well. Zero flash and parting lines are minimal. I wish Tamiya would call out their parts though. Say a intercooler. It's just lister as a part number. Just saying.

Just recieved my order from Gravity Colors. I placed my order in September and just now recieved it. My mistake was not ordering it from the parent company in Spain. Yes they ship to U.S.A. and the price difference between Euro's and dollars makes up the shipping difference in cost. The parent company has a hyphen between Gravity and Colors. The U.S.A. does not. I had to open a dispute with Pay Pal who contacts the seller,Gravity Colors U.S.A. and as soon as I did, miraculously my order got shipped that day.
Watch for correct web address or you'll end up like I did along with to many to count others that were dealing with the Florida based people. If you do a web search you can.read all the complaints with PayPal and the B.B.B. of Florida. On the parent companies web sight on their F.A.Q. section they address the guy in Florida issue. Also the parent company will respond to your emails within an hour or so. Their customer service is great. They have a beautiful facility in Spain, not an upstairs appartment in Florida.. Just a heads up everyone.
