Second time around tackling this kit....with the knowledge panel lines need to be rescribed, the decals will disintegrate and need coating, the photoetch hinges go on at the very end and, finally, the lines on the windows don't match the masks, so it is time to sand those off and polish the window clear....a first for me...

I like this kit a great deal.....however, the first copy had serious fit issues on top, which lead to its being put on the shelf of doom.

Then a cheating piece of styrene was put on the model when it was looked at again to cover a big crack....and the masks didn't really fit where the windows were.....so, I will show you all a few pix of what was done with it the first time, but there are two more copies of this cool kit on the way from Ukraine....delivery in February.

Hopefully, I learned enough about the kit, for example, be sure to scribe the panel lines before priming and the window outlines need to be sanded off and the clear parts polished up.....the decals in the first kit disintegrated immediately....leading to decal film application on the remaining pieces...which sort of worked but they came up in places even though overcoated twice....Oh, and the airbrush operator got orange peel paint effects (only in the white color has this ever been problem in Mission Models paint)......basically, it was time to stop, learn what lessons there are to be learned,, use the first kit to practice and look forward to February deliveries from Ukraine.

I have this one on my wishlist...but perhaps I will wait, until you will finish yours, Lochsa R. 😉

I enjoyed building this one. I chose to make the film version so with different and home made masks for windows and home printed decals.
