Original bike 

I started by trying to take it apart, which Hasbro had decided to make impossible without destroying the thing. Luckily I was replacing this big silver box

Original part was red blue split, I sanded it all off and put many coats of Tamiya clear red on it. Lots more went on after the photo

Removing the puck thingys above the tanks. They will be painted and replaced after decals are on 

Flags printed pn an ALPS MD1000. I didn't know exactly what size to use so I printed a few different plus spares.

3D Printing a new radio box to replace the ugly silver one 

Test fit 

To smooth 3D printed parts, I cover it all with black marker and sand until it's gone, or mostly gone. Shows me high and low spots 

All sanded 

Then some filler primer

Custom Motorola decal 

Making crashbars from scratch 

Custom expiration tag on the plate, to reflect the client's retirement 

Expanded the original decal by 10%, still unsatisfied. 

so I drew my own 

New decals 

Much better! 

Still unsatisfied with my pinstripes, so I spaced them a bit farther apart and reprinted. Don't worry, I use the extra decal paper! 

Saddlebags decalled
