So, I built as much as possible, into sub-assemblies. The horrible chrome was removed in a bath of bleach.

So this is going to be my Bethlehem Steel project.
I had the honour of talking with the guy who originally restored the truck, that's currently sat in the Mack Museum, in Allentown, PA. Just to add more to the experience, I drove past the old steel mill too. That place left a mark in my memory, that will never go away. This build is to the memory of all those who worked there.

Awesome. I've visited a few places in PA when I lived in NY. I wanted to see the Big Boy but wasn't able to last go around. I have a lot of museums to hit and trucks shows to check out this year. Sounds great Bozzer. I almost bought this one and like how the old ERTL kits are. Would you be able to add a mixer or dumper to this one or was it mainly just brute power. I've seen some YouTube videos on this truck.

Jarrett, I love PA and it's history. Everytime I go, I discover something else! Strasburg is a cool place to visit. Red Caboose Hotel, is amazing to see! But Allentown will always have a place in my heart (especially since there's a Hobby Lobby there) 😉
You can get the kit, with the Rex Mixer on the back, for this truck, although I'm lead to believe that it's actually the Paystar chassis? I can't confirm that though, because I've never seen the Mack Mixer chassis.
As with anything, with a little research and some skill, anything is possible?
I plan on a dump version of this kit though, at some point.

Yes, yes! I had the opportunity to buy all of these kits brand new but always opted for the Kenworth's, Peterbilt's and Freightliner's lol. I visited a few places when I was young like Aberdeen Proving Ground, and in my 30's the Hershy auto museum. I wish I could of have visited more places. I mean that were not nature spots, eateries, or parks, etc. Enjoy.

Look at the end of this seller's stuff and you probably already know the seller since he makes some additions https://ebay.com/usr/redtinc?_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2559
I remember seeing this truck on the road when I was a kid and one of the bad boys
