Time to announce my humble 5% contribution to the Aggressor-October effort 🙂

The maddening heat of this summer brought me straight towards this sub-zero arctic-camo pattern Hornet/Su-35... Kit & decals on their way. I´ll wait to see the deal on my table, then decide if I need more bling or OOB will be my call this time...

I know I could & should look it up myself, but since we have more than one walking encyclopedias of modern aircraft & equipment here, could someone provide input/support on what exactly is carried here on pylon 2? Would like to keep the blue for contrast... 🙂

Also, why/what type of Sidewinders are likely to be carried on a mission like this & what is the needle-type object on wingtip position 9?

Thanks a lot!

oh, a chance to nerd: AN/ALQ-167 ECM Pod in blue and the SAIP Pod is the needly thing 🙂

Daniel
oh there always a faster nerd 😄

Thanks guys, all my hopes were fulfilled... Don´t try to deny you enjoyed it😉😉

Wow! Look at the black panel lining at the spine! Real life taking over from a modeler's approach here. 😉

Oooh nice choice Slavo!

Maciej Bellos
It brought me down from the 36 degrees down here.

Absolute a good choice Slavo...love the Hornets! 👍

Was a tough choice between Eagle & Hornet, but I may want to build an Su-35 at some point soon in this same camo and put Original & Imposter together😉

Daniel
Thats a great idea slavo, but next to the flanker the hornet will look like its baby 😄

Interesting livery for a Bug. I am in!😢

More "nerdic talking" needed...

I see an Aires nozzles set for "A", but for Hobby Boss, and a "C" set for Kinetic... I tend to go for the C, cannot find any significant differences on the nozzles/engines and do not want to end with a misfit... Is that an eligible way, or is there a key difference I missed

Thanks for your words of wisdom😉

I'd go for the same, basically they all run the F404, there should be a cut-away on the end of the petals for later versions like yours
13 August 2019, 10:13
Daniel
If I am not mistaken this kinetic kit has the parts for all versions included from A-D? So all the aftermarket stuff labeled for a kinetic hornet should basically work with it

Slavo Hazucha
Thanks Daniel, that´s what I suspected... I have a particular presentation in mind and I´ll need the nozzles wide open for that, guess the kit will not offer that, hence the Q.

Daniel
nice, something involving full burner? 🙂
13 August 2019, 10:37
Slavo Hazucha
Yep, nozzles as wide as it gets & a few little mods here & there... You will see😉

Evertime this one comes up I fall more in love with that camo. Glad it's going on my Mirage F.1!

So... October approaching at supercruise speed... I ordered my Aggressor model & decals at least a month ago via a physical store (a reasonably good one...), because I think physical stores deserve support these days... Suspicous since I got no notification, today I dropped by like "Greetings sir, where´s my model?"

Turns out they had some software issues & the order is only just about to go out! 😮

I was hamstering RedBull cans for some epic night shifts on my Vark to be ready for the GB +/- on time, yet now this happens...

Anyway, I´ll think about something, not giving up! Not at all in fact... 😉

Tough luck Slavo... Hope for the best. Also I agree about the physical stores, problem is I don't have one in the city I live...

I am addicted to online stores. I live on a phucking island. It is always the joy to walk into a Hobby Shop and just go around. 😄

Hope everything will be there for the start Slavo 🙂 on the other hand I'm a slow builder and I don't have a problem to see other builds rush by😉

Yes please! watching

I totally agree to help the struggling physical shops a helping hand as much as possible but yeah, sometimes the online stores are just that tad efficiently. Hope it all turns out well and hopefully you can be off to a good start together with the rest.

I am impressed with the modification on the F/A-18 landing gear. The main gear legs are not fully extended when retracted and you made it so realistic, thumbs up!
