Album info

Super excited to rediscover this kit. I built the 1979 version of it about 40 years ago which I had totally forgotten till I saw the box art and it all came flooding back to me. It was by far my favourite model I had ever built, mainly because the ladder actually worked and the plastic was already the correct colour so it ended up looking really good once I painted the various non-red parts.

While I had the 1979 version back then I was only able to source the 1966 version today on ebay (for $30 with postage, which I think is incredible) but it looks like the only difference between the two versions is new box art and better instructions.

At first glance it seems like all the pieces are present. They where in what looks like their original plastic bag but there was a slight gap/opening where the bag was sealed. Also a lot of the pieces had come off their sprues and I noticed one of the running boards had a small arm that had broken off, so I'm going to have to go over and check everything.

Anyway, thought
