Revell Humber mkII (Matchbox tool)
The original box art, this was the first kit I've ever build
Revells rebox, the version I'll be building for the groupbuild.Should be fun doing it again
Not the multicolor of yesteryear, and england crossed out on the sprue
And were off. Some styrene was inserted to improve fit
Fit is quite good, even with a tooling this old. Loads of flash though, so this is showing its age
Axles added
Progress so far.
Figure primed in dark yellow
And look what I just found... The propeller of the torpedo that was missing from my seehund kit 🙂
Figure painted 🙂
Ready for Paint
Base coat hand painted in good old Humbrol, just like in the olden days
After a drybrush of sandgrau
Added 'glass' to the mirrors
The base in progress, all hand painted and dry brushed
Decals are on
Oil stains added to the water
Base is done, just needs to dry
Same goes for the Humber
I'm calling it done 🙂

This was the very first model I've ever build, longer ago than I care to rememberπ
Should be fun building it again, with the 50th aniversary of matchbox coming up.

Welcome to the group build. Nice one. I have it in my stash but never built it so far. Not even as a child. I'm excited! 🙂

Small progress made, amazing how much details there are in these,in my memory these kits were much less detailed...

Looking forward to seeing this done Jan. Coming along very nicely. I reckon this must be the tiniest kit in the Matchbox range apart maybe from the FT17, but that doesn't count because it accompanies the Char B!

Thanks Neil π
I guess the BMW sidecar kit that is in another duo set (can't remember which one) is even smaller, but this one sure isn't large.

Yes of course. Thinking about it, there's also the Jeeps. Anyway, looking good already!
