I have been building models for 15 years. Started with military models but have collected lots a racing cars in recent years. These are mostly Le Mans, Formula 1, and Daytona 24H. The majority or my models are 1/43 but I have plenty of traditional 1/24 car kits. Also collect airplanes in 1/48, helicopters in 1/72, and military vehicles in 1/35.
I also have an interest in cheap crapbox cars, mass produced and ugly. I think some would make interesting weathering projects or dioramas. Maybe swapping or adding aftermarket parts to make them look like some boy racer has tried to hop them up.
Another project I hope to start soon is building every aircraft type flown by the Vermont ANG.
I have a decent collection of wood ship kits that I really want to get to someday but I feel my skills with wood need some more practice. Wood kits are also a long commitment and I enjoy smaller faster to build car kits as of late.
