Beautiful. Very well done

Wow, thanks, all! This one did tick all the boxes for why I enjoy the hobby so much. This is also the first base I've done for a model and I do feel like it breathes a bit more life into it.

Hey John, great work on the kit, however I think there may be an error in the posing of your ailerons.

2017 well spent. Excellent achievement.

Thanks! And yeah, I built the ailerons as designed to be posable, but mostly they just flop down. 2018 has been all Star Wars and 40k models, but 2019 should include a large-scale Spitfire that might take me as long as the Mustang...

Just love it! The whole scene is looks absolute authentic to me.. The figures the lovely machine built machine and the improvised Field workshop the base the realistic weathering (not too much not the less) are interacting nearly perfect... Ok the Tamiya kit is thankful, but it does not build up itself.. You did a fantastic and impressive job here....
Congrats to this gem...

That's good news, you did a nice job on the kit as a whole, just thought I would point out the minor (and thankfully easily remedied) error.

Thanks, and yes, after a few days of just looking at it (and NOT zooming it around the living room when no one was around) I think if I add anything it will be very minor and subtle.

zoom a bit , even if there is somebody around! you earned it
24. July 2018 at 22:32:54
I hope all that zooming around included at least a few laser "pew pews"!
The larger Hasbro one I'm "slowly" working on will include a built in mp3 player with a 6 inch sub with some custom sound bytes that i have remixed to include the engine noise some laser fire and the jump to hyperspace!
