Such great work here man! And the endurance to build 2!
They look just fantastic! I wonder how this album went unnoticed.

I have two of these Fujimi kits as well. Any negative points with them?

Thank you Marius. Interestingly these two tomcats were a sort of a dream build happening on a backdrop of a mental breakdown so they have a lot of mystical power imbued in them haha. They will forever serve as a monument reminding me to recognise overextension and act timely.

The kits themselves (this is Finemolds by the way) are really great. The character of the surface detail is better suited to dirty TPS jets as the lines are a little too pronounced to my taste. Building a Hiviz tomcat with this kit I used a little sanding to tone it down - or even better yet - just do not use wash at all like in this brilliant build: Grumman F-14D Tomcat (Fine Molds) | Album by Navy Bird (1:72)

Album info

Absolutely cursed build to be honest. A lot of crazy stuff with masking tape ripping off paint or things being broken off and then difficult to fix.

Happy for this to be over and happy how it turned out in the end.

In contemplating fate for my two GWH F-14As I am considering actually not marking them at all. Just overall FS16440, stencils and big roundels on the side. That way I would be able to just imagine them being whatever fave squadron I want🙂
