Lode Schildermans I'm in. It reminds me to a kit I got from my parents when I was 12 y.o. and absolutely not ready for shipbuilding
29. November 2017 at 11:01:49
tinyadmiral had to play catch-up with my photography, I have been a bit lax in that department.

Lode Schildermans Excellent job, Mick. What did you use for the weathering and how did you apply it? And a question more, what do you use for primering resin parts?
15. December 2017 at 06:16:58
tinyadmiral I dry brushed some reddish brown rust streaks then used a very thin wash of army painter's acrylic war paints "fur brown" to enhance the rust streaking. next step will be a clear dullcoat over all and then a very thin dot filter and some further rust detail. I actualy don't often prime much of anything ussualy to be honest

Mike Kryza Interesting - I take a seat.
16. December 2017 at 07:32:30
Martin Oostrom I thought about getting this kit. I've got Warspite & Graf Spee and Titanic. I'd like to have either a Japanese or a US battleship to have some variation. The Mrs is allowing me 1 display cabinet with 4 shelves :P

I really like what you have done with this ship. Nice subtle weathering
16. December 2017 at 09:18:23
Don Williams The weathering looks awesome Mic. You make me want to try a ship

Peter Hardy Which end is the bow?
27. August 2018 at 11:07:31
tinyadmiral lol @ Peter Hardy , yes its not my usual subject matter but i do like a bit of armor here and there between ship kits
28. August 2018 at 07:31:55
Bart Goesaert there is always a link between ships and tanks... In the first world war, they were considered landships, and actually had a navy crew... (British ones)

splendid kit, and wonder how to display it all... I have a thought about the Miniart T-55 about doing it... but I still have time to think about it...

Peter Hardy Actually kinda looking forward to see what you do with it. Level of detail will right up your alley! I have the Porsche turret version in my stash and have been mesmerised by Kerry's two builds. Ok, taking a seat now.
28. August 2018 at 08:05:29
tinyadmiral planning on doing it as a cuttaway to show the interior , just trying to figure exactly where i want to cut out sections in the body, so far i have figured out that i want the cuts on the driver side. thinking one on the side wall of the turret and either 2 cuts on the hull (one midway along its length and one forward to show the driver's area. also one on the top of the hull to show the engine compartment
28. August 2018 at 09:26:41
Lode Schildermans Looking forward to see more of this tank. The start is promising

tinyadmiral going to be real slow at first, going to be ordering aftermarket parts and cant realy do much except cleaning up the hull untill i get the extras
21. August 2018 at 16:33:28
Peter Hardy Are you going to do a dazzle camo?
21. August 2018 at 21:22:15
tinyadmiral was thinking more along the lines of plain gray but heavily weathered
22. August 2018 at 06:23:41
Peter Hardy I can't hide my disappointment. Guess I'll have to build one with the extreme dazzle then.
22. August 2018 at 07:54:47
Martin Oostrom Mr Hardy, I'm tempted to start a crowdfunding, just to see you do it!
22. August 2018 at 09:47:59
Peter Hardy Don't laugh Marty, Lode and I have discussed it. When I saw Tiny was building the JWB I got excited about it again. Anyone who follows his builds will be interested in this one!
22. August 2018 at 10:41:49
Martin Oostrom That would be cool, a liberty ship in dazzle. Almost like those French ships in zebra guise
