Avia C-2
So, let's get started!
as you can see - work in progress 🙂
front engine "plug" in place and since it wasn't perfect fit, a little bit of tack-it worm around the top and side will serve as a sealant. It will not be visible after fitting the front engine cover but just in case.
undercarriage side panel part glued in lower wing section and on the right side drilled the hole for the clear part
after drilling, painting with GSI aluminum, clear part glued in place with PVE glue
now back to cockpit. rudder pedals replaced with PE parts and glued in place, control stick and other PE parts also glued in place
biggest fun part - glueing the tiny PE controls to the instrument panel
I hope they will not get ripped of during the painting... fingers crossed!
front instrument panel finished (PE glue still drying)
cockpit painted
and glued into the fuselage
front instrument panel needed some adjustement to fit properly
other half of the fuselage also needed some attention
test fit - gap behind the front instrument panel is the only issue - better aligement and cleaning before gluing the cockpit would solve this. next time I will know better 🙂
pilot seats in place
ready for closing the fuselage
wings glued with the fuselage together at last 🙂
undercarriage will need to be painted again after the overall coat of silver paint
small PE part between the pilot and the instructor seat
canopy masked and ready
bits ready for painting
MPR silver - looking good
bottom black panel painted and undercarriage space masked and painted
all bits ready for final assembly
decalling done - ready for the protective coat of gloss (or semigloss - not sure yet)
And after quick wash, adding small bits - DONE! 🙂
Kit is great, highly recommended!
