nice job, did you have much difficulty getting the shell on the chassis, i have the repsol version and am struggling, i can't get over the inner arches

I always do test fittings prior to painting anything. You are right, the arches don't fit well which is why I cut off a margin of them. As regards the red line, my approach was to leave a small band of the (red) plastic unpainted. You can get a glance of this if you look very closely, it's not perfect at all but not as flawed as many other modeler's efforts to paint this, IMHO.
