This was my second attempt. Got it at Hobby Lobby with a coupon, less than $16 out the door...Bargain!
I decided to try a different approach. I primed all the pieces on the sprues.
Then I glued the wing halves, tail, etc. together and painted the fuselage halves, wings & tail separately. I did do some detailing on the cockpit & interior, but didn't do any washes outside. After installing the cockpit I assembled the pieces and just did a bit of paint touchup on the joints where needed. I didn't bother repairing the fuselage seams. I did get the Montex canopy masks.
Doing it that way made it a fairly fast & easy build and it turned out good for my second try, but no panel detail. If I was to do it again I would probably re-scribe the panel lines, use a bit of wash on the panel lines to give it more definition.
As a matter of fact I also have the Accurate Miniatures B-25 kit I want to do as a Doolittle Raider, so I'll do better on that one!
