It was a glider with auxillary engine 🙂 it was towed by another airplane to the cruising height, than disconnected.

I like it. It looks like it would have featured on the cover of Popular Mechanics in the 50s. You added a lot of details didn't you? How did the passengers get in? There's lots to look at.

Thank you guys, next to the windshield there was a sliding window and passengers got in right through it. 🙂 (this is what I know... 😄 )
