Do all sealed model kits come with sprue trees sealed in clear bags or are there exceptions? Purchased a kit and it arrived with what looked like a reseal as it had a hole that looked it was melted and all sprues were without bags and parts were disconnected from the trees. it looked like a re-seal and the hole was an attempt to make the plastic tight. From my 40+ years of buying kits I have not seen any company not seal each tree in a plastic bag, but this is why I am asking as I do not own every model made to date.

Mike Weatherbee Just found someone with an image of the kit in question, it was in fact sealed in a large plastic bag from the factory, never shipped with no inernal bags allowing parts to move around in the box originally in 1981
Just purchase the Lindberg USS Olympia 1/240 Scale kit and got the Tom's #240-01 USS OLYMPIA Photo Etch set and found out it does not work with this kit, it says works with The Revell version and I do not see any versions of this kit by Revell. Am I missing somerthing?
