Sooooo cute - will be sitting next to the Gama Goat when available and finished!
I hope they will do a non-APC version as well as it looks even cuter with more windows ;).
And who said pigs can't fly? See heli transport photo on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandvagn_206 .

A comment after building the kit:

These decals had every chance of becoming the best set I have ever used. The designers took extreme care to make sure they fit every aspect of the kit - every nook and cranny, every lump and bump is faithfully reflected in the decals in sub-millimeter precision (e.g. the holes for the vortex generators on the fin). And there is next to nothing left to paint. Simply unbelievable.

So what went wrong?

The printing of the decals is not only rather thick, but brittle and, worst of all, highly inflexible! Even the little bit of bending that is required in places such as the wing leading edge becomes a nightmare that can only be overcome with repeated applications of copious amounts of Future underneath and MicroSol on top. And in spite of several layers of gloss cote added on top, they are already beginning to flake off at the edges.

Using very hot water (> 90 °C) to detach the decals from the backing paper helps a tiny little bit, but also enlarges the decals noticeably - not really surprising.

The fact that you can get anywhere at all with these decals is probably due to the angular and "boxy" nature of the Tornado fuselage. They would have been totally useless on a "curvy" F-16 or Rafale.

Given the perfect design, the performance of the decals is highly frustrating. This must be the biggest waste of opportunities since the introduction of celibacy.

Same comment as for Lieferwagen Typ 170V (MiniArt 38035, 1:35) : this would be great in 1:24 scale. They might sell a ton of these to people who have bought/built London Bus (Revell 07651, 1:24) . It is extremely detailed for a 1:35 scale kit; they would only have to scale it up to 1:24.

Concerning barnacles and kinds of sediment on the lower hull I can recommend structuring paste. It turns out in very nice surface and is easy to paint. I used this one on my sunken B25 https://rayher.com/de/strukt..HSF3_pgLCi1-VeRoCgggQAvD_BwE

@coporado: Man, that's one hell of a dio!
Thanks for your suggestion. I have used artists' structure paste before, but for painting - sometimes modellers actually use stuff for the purpose it is intended for ;). It didn't occur to me it could be used the way you did. Will give it a try!

To everybody who likes the weathering:

Note that, as described in the project's description, no special "rust" or "weathering" products were used.

I believe these are as useless as most of the "special purpose" crap such as "Afrika Corps Wash", "Early Luftwaffe Cockpits Paint and Weathering Set" and other questionable merchandise by companies with names usually starting with an "A". Manufacturers try to make customers believe that they can buy readymade solutions for modelling tasks in a bottle, but of course that's not how it works (and modelling would be boring if it did).

Rust is a process, not a product. If you don't know how rust works, you can buy rust products by the dozen and still end up nowhere. If you have learned how rust works by observing it in real life, you don't need these products. All you need is a goodly selection of photographs you have made of the real thing, and a couple of Browns in your paintbox.
